Mr. Eller, 84, passed away Oct. 27, 2020, after an extended illness. He was a veteran of the Korean War and an active longtime member of the Elks Lodge.

He was born August 11, 1936 in Warrensville, N.C.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn Cox Eller; his children, Jim Eller (Susan), Good Hope, Becky Eller, Huntsville, Frank Eller, New Deal, Texas, Mike Pitts (Drenda), Hanceville, Kelli Pitts and special daughter Melea "Casper" Garner, Somerville; seven grandchildren, Megan Eller, Laken Pitts, Jonah Eller, Jordan Eller, Sara Eller, Landon Pitts, Ian Eller; one great-grandson, Collin Eller; and sisters, Caroldean Roark, Kennett Square, Pa. and Betty Parrett, Chadds Ford, Pa.

A graveside service with full military honors will be officiated by Pastor Robert Landcaster of St. Andrews Methodist Church, with Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing. Interment will be in Cullman Heritage Cemetery Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrews Methodist Church of Cullman or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
